iPhone 12 "grater" protective cover: will this really be what you want?

Among the appearance patents recently approved, Apple hopes to introduce the "grater" design on the iMac to the iPhone to better dissipate heat. Although this design is controversial, it has also been recognized by some people. Industrial designer Sarang Sheth from Yanko Design Company designed a Cheesegrater Case for iPhone 12 Pro to visualize the "grater".






       When talking about his design, Sarang Sheth said: “The Cheesegrater Case we launched is made of TPE and a machined aluminum back panel. This iPhone 12 Pro protective case brings the famous cheese grinder texture to the iPhone’s On the back, let it cool more effectively. At least in theory, it is also suitable for chopping garlic cloves or grating some cheese.”


　　 In addition to visualizing the patent, Sheth also explained some shortcomings of the invention. First of all, the textured metal casing will absorb dust, dirt and fluff, and secondly, it is unable to wirelessly charge the mobile phone; thirdly, this protective cover will increase the weight of the mobile phone and affect the feel.
